C & Z Purlins
It is the C/Z shape of the purlin which has contributed to the classification of the purlins. C-Sections generally have equal flanges, it can be adapted for use in small and medium sized buildings as a structural framework. Z section has one broad and one narrow flange which allows the two sections to fit together closely making it easy for lapping.
